Pole Dancing Lessons
Pole dance as we teach it originates from a mixture of various dance types and Chinese Pole performance which is performed by both men and women. Chinese Pole involves strength, determination and agility to master and when combined with dance creates a fluid, sensual performance. An example of Chinese Pole Performance can be found here and here!

Our classes offer you the choice of learning in weekly pole dancing lessons for those who would like to take up pole dancing as a hobby to increase their fitness levels, meet new friends and develop their ability alongside other like-minded people. These lessons are currently held in the City Centre and Horfield Leisure Centre.
Our Chair Dancing lessons are starting in February 2011, they will use similar methods to improve your flexibility and overall fitness but will also work on rhythm and dance to increase confidence in your own ability working towards routines at your own level.
Rock 'n' Pole (Pole Dancing) Classes
These lessons are held in Bristol City Centre at one of Bristol's leading alternative music venues, the Bristol Bierkeller. A more relaxed feel than the well lit dance studios the club is more dimly lit and the music is geered specifically to those with an interest in rock, punk, metal or anything different to the normal R&B scene! The classes themselves have very little difference to the Pole Dancing Lessons run in Horfield so feel free to come along to either venue and give them a try.
Pole Dancing Lessons
Due to the fitness aspect of the classes in their modern format they are run as an ongoing series of lessons so students can continue for as long as they have interest in the activity. They can be paid for individualy or in a calendar month block at a reduced rate. The classes cover all aspects of pole dance from basic movement to beginner and advanced tricks to transition and floor moves and follow Introduction to Pole Dance through Stage 1 (Lower Beginner) to Stage 5 (Advanced). You can find more details of what is covered at each stage on other pages in this website so take a look around!
Pole dancing is an amazing way to keep fit and it tones your body in ways other fitness routines can't so it is well worth keeping up for longer than the few weeks it takes to complete other 4 week courses. In fact, many of our students have gone on to purchase poles through Pole Play so they can continue to practice throughout the week between each class and several of our students have now been attending classes for over a year!
